A burglary on Back Berryton Road resulted in the loss of a number of items, including cash, electronic items and jewelry, for the property owner.

Officers determined that entry had been made on the right side of the residence through a window, as a trail of muddy footprints clearly led from the driveway to the home and there was mud on the top of the gas main located directly below the window.

The victim was advised to gather as much information as possible including serial numbers on the stolen merchandise and turn that over to investigators.

The incident remains under investigation.
