Jasmine Deechell Conner turned herself in at the Floyd County Jail Tuesday.

The 26 year old is accused of fleeing the scene of an accident Friday leaving behind her four children. According to the police report, a 1996 Saturn being driven by Conner was turning north onto Turner-McCall Boulevard from Riverside Parkway just after 9:00pm. Two other vehicles were traveling south on the Parkway, and when Conner turned left in front of them her car was struck in the right front-hand side by one of the vehicles – with the other hitting the right-side rear.

Conner reportedly got out of the car and led the four children to a nearby restaurant before leaving alone. The children were all under the age of six.

The report also noted that none of the children were properly restrained inside the vehicle, and they all sustained minor injuries; they were later turned over to family members.

Conner has been charged with possession of a less than an ounce of marijuana, interference with custody the possession of drug related objects, reckless conduct, four counts of second degree cruelty to children, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield – and four counts of a seat belt violation for children.
