Apparently, lightning does strike twice.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the second robber in a week at the Kangaroo convenience store in Rock Spring; the robberies were almost identical in that the suspect was armed with a knife and afterwards forced the clerk to lie down in a back room, while he fled the scene.

The first incident took place Sunday, April 3rd at around 5:00am, and the second, Saturday, April 9th around 7:00am.

In the April 3rd robbery the suspect was described as a white male, approximately five-feet -eight (5’8”); his face was reportedly covered. 

In the second robbery the suspect was described as standing five-seven (5’7”) weighing in the neighborhood of 150 pounds and was possibly wearing a black ski mask.

On both occasions the robber was seen on video, on foot, leaving Kay Conley Road in the direction of long Hollow Road.
