An Adairsville man was taken to jail in Chattooga County after being cited twice within a week for not having a driver’s license.
On Monday of this week the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department and Summerville Police Department were conducting a License and Safety Checkpoint in the area of Northwest Congress Street and Mitchell Avenue.
While at the checkpoint a black, Ford Fusion approached the checkpoint. While speaking with the driver, later identified as Eddie Farmer, a deputy asked the driver for his driver’s license, at which point Farmer said that he didn’t have one.
Farmer told the deputy that a Georgia State Trooper had cited him for driving without a valid license within the past week.
Farmer was transported to the Chattooga County Jail on charges of driving without a valid license.
