Today’s docket records indicate that a break-in was reported last Saturday at Crossroads Antiques in Summerville at the intersection of Mahan and Hair Lake Roads.

According to police records, the lock on the front door of Crossroads Antiques had been cut with a pair of bolt cutters that were left on the scene. Complainant Kaye Hamby told the responding deputy that one show case of jewelry had been pilfered through, and three entire wooden show cases and her cash register had been stolen.

At the time of the report, Hamby was unable to provide a dollar amount of the value of the stolen goods. The case is currently under investigation by the Chattooga Co. Sheriff’s Office.
