Trion Mayor Larry Stansell wants to see the Town of Trion have their own “Economic Development” authority.

A special called meeting has been called for this evening at the Trion Town Hall, for the council to consider several items, including the Town of Trion establishing it’s own economic development authority.  How that authority will be established, its goals and organization are expected to be discussed at tonight’s meeting.

Also on the agenda, the Trion Town Council will consider an agreement with Mount Vernon Mills regarding the Trion Waste Water Treatment Plant and discuss a grant for the waste water treatment plant.

This evening’s meeting is set for 6 PM and the public is invited to attend.
