The Trion High School Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed on Oct 25 at Darlington to advance to the State Championship on November 3 in Carrolton.

Both teams had their overall best performances of the year and both placed 3rd.  The boys team finished very close with a difference  of 3 points behind Drew Charter which took second.  Strong individual medal performances were put in by Hannah Dong for the girls who placed and in 4th with a time of 23:40, and Austin Mason who placed and 5th. Other strong performances were put in by the Boys team. Josiah Bruce ran 2nd for the team that day behind Austin with a 19:48.  Closely behind Josiah was Dawson Brown who ran a 19:54. Bryan Chilel and Parker Railey turned in good runs with 20:31 and 20:38 respectively. Michael Cook and Alonzo Francisco completed the Bulldog team of 7.
