The Chattooga Indians and Trion Bulldogs both took wins with impressive margins during last night’s games.

The Bulldogs were hosting the Bowdon Red Devils at Sam McCain stadium. Even though the Red Devils may have scored the first touchdown, the Bulldogs definitely had the last laugh. Trion scored 14 points in the first quarter and 7 in every subsequent quarter. Bowdon only scored 7 in the first quarter and 6 in the third. That game finished up 35-13.

Chattooga had even less resistance from the Dade County Wolverines, and kept the Wolverines from scoring the first point on their home turf all night. After the Indians 27 points in the first quarter and 14 in the second quarter on Dade Conty’s football field, the clock was let run in the second half.  The final score 47-0.

Chattooga will have an away conference game at Pepperell High School in Lindale, (just outside of Rome) next Friday, November 2.

Trion will be hosting its play-in this coming Friday. WZQZ will have more on the tournament in upcoming newscasts.

Congratulations to both of our local football teams! Count on WZQZ to bring you all the latest from the Bulldogs and the Indians.
