A lot of community activities are scheduled around Chattooga County for this weekend.  See below for a list of family-friendly events going on this weekend:

SATURDAY:

  • A Trunk or Treat will be held at Angus McLeod Park in Lyerly from 6:30 – 8:30 PM today.  The event is sponsored by the Town of Lyerly along with Lyerly First Baptist Church and Lyerly United Methodist Church.
  • Calvary Baptist Church will host a fall festival and hayride along with a chili supper.  The event will be held at the Menlo Ball Field starting at 5 PM.  In case of rain meet at Calvary Baptist Church on Taylor Street in Summerville.
  • North Summerville Baptist Church will be hosting a Fall Festival starting at 6 PM this evening.  There will be inflatables, games, June’s cake walk, food and much more. For details call 706-857-6150.
  • Subligna Baptist Church will have a Harvest Fest starting at 4 PM this afternoon with a car show, cake walk, indoor games and food along with a hay ride.  Costumes are optional. Subligna Baptist Church and Pastor Charles Bishop invite everyone to attend.
  • The City of Summerville will be hosting a Fall Festival from 10:30 AM until 2:30 PM today at the Depot.  There will be free hayrides, a costume contest and lots of family fun.  The event is free to attend and the train will be coming into the Depot later this afternoon.
  • United By Faith Baptist Church will have a Trunk or Treat at 5 PM today with hamburgers and hot dogs along with inflatables for the kids and a bonfire.  The event is Free.  The church is located on Highway 114 in Summerville.
  • The 5th Annual Burning Leaf Festival will be held on October 27th, 2018. It is held on the last Saturday of October every year. Join us for family fun for all ages! Our many vendors include arts and crafts, foods and snacks, small businesses and organizations, and direct sales. We will have a live music lineup from a variety of performers. There will also be a variety of games and activity for children, including a costume contest. The event is scheduled from 9 AM until 3 PM  at the Cloudland Community Park at 284 Gadsden Avenue, Cloudland.

Sunday:

  • An Old-Fashioned Sunday dinner will be held at The Summerville Depot from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM.  The Flat Bottom Boys will be on site performing bluegrass and gospel music. Indoor seating will be available on a first come-first serve basis.
