The Summerville Police Department is investigating the theft of a man’s television that was stolen while he was incarcerated.
Jacob Caldwell filed a report on the theft Friday evening at the police department, where he stated that his 32-in. smart TV had been stolen while he was incarcerated in the county jail.
The TV, which was bought at Walmart for $138, was at Caldwell’s Martin Street residence when last he saw it. Caldwell told an officer he believes his family members stole it to get a refund on it and pocket the money.
The SPD’s investigation on the case remains active.
