County sheriff’s office records state that a catalytic converter was stolen from the church van of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

A county deputy took a report from Pleasant Hill pastor Gary Wells Friday, where Wells said that the van was parked on church property when it was cut out.

The pastor said that it had been cut out and taken sometime in the last month, and that though he noticed it last week, he didn’t feel he needed to report it until seeing similar incidents in the county recently.

There were two reports last month of catalytic converter thefts: one from county woman Rachelle Loveless that came in earlier this week, and another from a Lyerly man unnamed in reports which came in the week of November 1st.

The case into the theft remains active.
