Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader presented several of his office’s employees with awards at their Christmas dinner. Read below to see the recipients:

I had the honor of presenting several employees with much deserved awards tonight at our Christmas dinner. I am so honored to work with the best group of professionals. These men and women are what makes up the Sheriffs Office. We had a great time of laughs, great fellowship and great food. I appreciate each and every one that came out along with their families.

Our service awards were:

  • Deputy David King 10 yrs with CCSO
  • Renee Montgomery 15 yrs with CCSO
  • Deputy Brian Tucker 15 yrs with CCSO
  • Officer Charlie Logan 15 yrs with CCSO
  • Tammy Owings with 30 yrs with CCSO

Top gun award: Cpl. Tim Gilbreath.

Officer of the year awards went to:

  • Shounta Shirley, Jail division
  • Marvin Armstrong, Patrol division

Life saving award was awarded to:
Deputy Nicole Sprague for jumping into the rain swollen river and saving a young individual who had jumped from a bridge.

Such an honor to be the Sheriff of Chattooga County.

Congratulations to Cpl. Tim Gilbreath for earning our Top Shot award this year.
