Two Rome men were arrested after allegedly fleeing from police Wednesday evening.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 27-year old Zachary Robert Lampkin of a North Harrison Street address failed to stop for an officer in the Garden Lakes Boulevard/Mathis Drive area.

Lampkin then drove in an extremely aggressive manner, weaving in and out of heavy traffic.

Police say Lampkin also passed several vehicles in a no-passing zone, drove into oncoming traffic, and ran a red light, almost causing a wreck.

He then allegedly fled on foot and had to be tackled by officers.

Lampkin is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, aggressive driving, reckless driving, obstruction of officers, failure to yield, failure to obey a traffic control device, and passing in a no passing zone.

He is also being held on a probation violation.

Meanwhile, 25-year old Christopher Robert Graham Jr. of a Lakewood Drive address also allegedly fled on foot and trespassed on the property of a senior living center in the process.

He is also accused of stealing the vehicle.

Graham is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, criminal trespass, public drunk, and obstruction of law enforcement.
