Two young men have died after a fire broke out at a Rossville home Wednesday afternoon, according to Walker county coroner DeWayne Wilson.

Walker County Emergency Services got a call at 2:14 PM that the home on 1477 Dry Valley Road was on fire.

Fire & Rescue and EMS responded, sending eight units to the scene. They found flames coming from house, which was about 30 percent involved.

Walker County spokesman Joe Legge says the two victims, born in 1994, were found in a heavily burned section of the home.

Legge says their bodies will be sent to the GBI crime lab for autopsy, and that their names are not being released at this time.

Right now, it is unclear what started the fire. Legge says investigators did not find any working smoke detectors in the unburned section of the home.
