Shaw Flooring reports they have found several positive cases of COVID-19 in facilities around the region, including two associates who tested positive in LaFayette this month.
Shaw says there are five confirmed cases among employees in the state of Georgia.
Shaw was notified of three associates that tested positive at Plant 67 in Lafayette on May 4th and May 5th, one associate at Plant DJ in Dalton, on May 5th, and one associate at Plant 54 in Dalton, Ga. on May 6th.
Shaw Industries says Plant 67 was temporarily closed for cleaning and disinfecting by a third-party professional cleaning service and has since re-opened. The employee at Plant 54 worked in a building that is not connected to the main facility, and says that structure was closed, cleaned, disinfected and re-opened.
Shaw says that the associates who had ‘close contact’ with the employee have been notified and have been self-quarantined.
