A Cabin at Cloudland was destroyed by fire early on Saturday morning.  Several area fire departments responded to the blaze that happened in the pre-dawn hours.

The fire happened at 417 Valley View Lane, located off Highway 157 at Cloudland.

According to information obtained by WZQZ News, the cabin belonged to Danny and Kate Eldridge.  The couple’s adult son and his girlfriend were living at the cabin.  The cabin reportedly caught fire while Eldrige was in the shower.  The couple were able to get out of the structure, but the cabin was a total loss.

Cloudland, Menlo, Teloga and Hays State Prison Fire Departments responded to the fire.
