The June 9th Primary is less than four weeks away, and early voting will start next Monday, May 18th.  Early voting will take place at the Chattooga County Registrar Office located on Commerce Street in Summerville, just south of the Chattooga County Courthouse.

A large number of absentee ballots have already been cast in the Primary Election, but those who wish to vote in-person will have the opportunity to do so early starting next week.  The last day to register to vote was this past Monday.

There will be Saturday voting for the Primary coming up on May 30th and the last day to vote early will be Friday, June 5th.

The Primary Election will be a combination of the Presidential Preference Primary and local races, due to the Presidential Preference Primary being delayed because of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Voters will have to request a Democratic or Republican ballot; however, there are no contested races for the local Democratic candidates.

In the General Election in November, voters can vote for candidates of their choice from either party, regardless of how they vote in the June Primary election.
