Summerville Police responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle located on Edmondson Street last Tuesday.

According to a report that was released yesterday, when police arrived they found a man, identified as thirty-four-year-old Harley David Swanson of a Tucker, Georgia address, sitting inside a black, Toyota Four-Runner.

Swanson was holding a small dog and seemed to be very confused.  Swanson admitted to officers that he was on probation for robbery and aggravated assault.  Police told Swanson that a robbery had taken place at CVS and Swanson was very cooperative with police when they asked to search his vehicle.

Inside, police found a glass pipe with suspected crystal methamphetamine residue.  Swanson admitted to knowing the pipe was in the console of the vehicle, but denied that the pipe was his.  He did however admit that the baggy of suspected marijuana officers also found was his.

Swanson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects and a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge.  He was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
