On Tuesday, convicted child molester Terry Lee Coleman sent an e-mail to WZQZ’s web site as he sits in jail awaiting transport to a state prison.  Coleman has been convicted of molesting two children, both under the age of 14.  He was also convicted of sexually assaulting a worker at CVS Pharmacy in Summerville last year.

Sheriff Mark Schrader told WZQZ News on Tuesday that inmates do have limited access to an internet kiosk where they can send e-mails.  Coleman chose to use that privileged to send a comment to our web site.

In the comment, Coleman blamed the child victims of his crimes saying “they were provocatively dressed” and saying that the came of their own free will.  Coleman went on to blame the CVS worker he was convicted of assaulting for that attack saying that she had “low morals.”  The message ended with the words “FREE TERRY COLEMAN” and asking people to email him if they believe he is innocent.

WZQZ will NOT be posting the full comment Coleman sent nor the contact information he provided.

Coleman has been sentenced to 13 years in prison on the child molestation charges.
