A new attorney was sworn in at the Chattooga County Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon by Superior Court Judge Kristina Cook Graham. Judge Graham introduced David Smith as a native of Chattooga County who later moved away and has now returned to Northwest Georgia to practice law.
Smith is the grandson of Summerville residents Larry and Connie Howard and Barbara and Tommy Woods. He graduate from the University of Mississipi and received his law degree at American University in Washington, D.C.
Smith has been working as a law clerk at Cook & Connelly in Summerville and was recently sworn into the state bar of Tennessee.
Smith has been hired by the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Public Defenders Office.
