Last Thursday a complainant called the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of money and jewelry.

According to a report from the sheriff’s office, Anona Szymanski told a responding deputy that the same day, her boss had paid her $100 in cash.  The complainant said that she put the money in her pocketbook.

Later that same evening, the complainant said that while she was in her backyard, she believes someone entered her residence and took the $100 and a silver necklace that had two hearts with red rubies.  The complainant did not have any idea who it might have been that took the money and the necklace.

The incident was turned over to an investigator.
