Chattooga Head Football Coach Shawn Peek has assembled his coaching staff, drawing from some of his former colleagues who have served with him in schools in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
The four coaches he has chosen were former Pisgah, Alabama and Scottsboro, Alabama head coach and then South Pittsburg, Tennessee assistant Freddie Tidmore, former North Jackson defensive coordinator and then Dade County, Georgia defensive coordinator Barry Shrader, former Scottsboro and then Dade County defensive line coach Jo Reed Brumley and Fort Payne offensive line coach Scott Shankles.
After Peek officially accepted the Chattooga job in early January, he was able to add Brumley, Shankles, Shrader and Tidmore.
Tidmore will serve as Chattooga’s offensive coordinator while Shrader will be the defensive coordinator. Brumley will coach the defensive line and Shankles will coach the offensive line. The staff includes 12 coaches in all, the rest of which were on the staff a year ago. Included in that group is running back coach Nicky Peppers, a Fyffe alum.
