Verizon customers all across Northwest Georgia are experiencing slow or no service, and have been for several days.
WZQZ has been affected by the issue for the past several days. We rely on Verizon for all of our internet service at our transmitter sites on Highway 27 and Taylor’s Ridge.
Slow data and internet service along with dropped calls have been reported by residents in Northwest Georgia. On Friday, service was out in a line stretching from Cleveland, Tennessee to Dalton, and into LaFayette.
We were told on Friday that a fiber optic line may be to blame for the poor service. WZQZ has reached out to Verizon representatives to find out when the problem might be resolved, but have not received any official reply.
