President Trump has signed an executive order to extend enhanced federal unemployment benefits. The Georgia Department of Labor says that they are working to update information for Georgia residents.
The Georgia Department of Labor and Governor Kemp’s office are reviewing the executive order and creating a plan that works best for Georgians. Timelines will be announced as soon as they are available.
At this time, there is no need for claimants to contact the Department of Labor concerning the proposed enhanced unemployment benefits; the agency will announce more information as it becomes available.
