Chattooga County is behind on our 2010 Census Self Response rate and we need to catch up!

That’s the word from Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce Director Cindy Rivers-McGraw.

In 2010, 61.1% of Chattooga County residents self responded to the Census. So far for 2020, we have 50.5% of residents that have done the same.

It’s not too late to be counted and our current global situation is more proof than ever that an accurate population count is vital to the health and well being of every person.

Please help share the message- ask your friends and family to be counted. We don’t want Chattooga County to miss out on millions of dollars in federal funds over the next 10 years for programs like HeadStart, Medicare, Medicaid, school lunches, emergency preparedness and so much more.

Census takers are already visiting homes that have not responded, but you can avoid the knock!

Visit- my2020census.gov and fill out your household’s information in under 10 minutes.

Help shape the future of each life in Chattooga County for the next 10 years. Share this message with your contact list. We can do it Chattooga!
