A group of concerned Chattooga County residents have formed a group called, “Chattooga Citizens for Safe Water” in response to the water issues that have plagued the City of Summerville for several months, and the Chattooga County Water District for the last week and a half.  The group has asked both candidates for Chattooga County Commissioner to address the group’s Zoom meeting on Monday evening.

According to the group’s organizers, the hour-long meeting will allow both candidates 5-10 minutes for an opening statement and then questions from the group’s members will be posed to each candidate.  Both Blake Elsberry and Jimmy Holbrook have agreed to participate in the meeting which will take place at 7 PM on Monday evening.

WZQZ FM 99.1 will broadcast the meeting on Monday evening starting at 7 PM.
