According to a report from the Summerville Police, a Summerville man alleges that he was attacked by “Gangster Disciples”.

Police responded to a call from a complainant on Martin Street who said on Tuesday he was going to the Circle K convenience store when he saw his ex-girlfriend and stopped “to see if she was alright.”  The complainant had a restraining order barring him from contact with his ex-girlfriend, according to police.

The man alleges five men pulled him out of his vehicle and assaulted him.  He also told police one of the men held a gun to his head and pulled the trigger but he was able to pull himself away to avoid getting shot.  When asked to describe the assailants, the complainant only said they were “dressed like Gangster Disciples.”

Police say that the complainant was heavily intoxicated and had a beer in his hand when he came outside his residence to talk to them.  He did appear to have an injured nose, but when EMS examined him, they said his nose was not broken.

Police went to the area where the man alleged the assault took place and could find no evidence to corroborate the complainant’s story.
