Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton says 2020 property tax bills are now available to view and pay online.
As of Friday, you could view your property tax bill online or in office in the Tax Commissioner’s Office.
Hampton said, “I know a lot of folks (myself included) find it easier to break the bill up into several payments in order to have it paid by the due date. They should start arriving in mailboxes by the first of October and will be due December 1, 2020.
I want to thank the Assessor’s Office for working so hard in spite of the pandemic (and an April tornado) to get everything over to me in time. For anything to be “on schedule” with all we’ve been through in 2020 is quite commendable.
If you need help calculating what payments you should make to have it all paid on time, give me a call. I’ll be happy to help you form a payment plan.”
