A Trion man was arrested in Floyd County last week after he reportedly fled from police following a traffic stop.

Thirty-six-year-old Pasqual Ramariz London of Trion was arrested in Silver Creek after being stopped by police for a traffic violation at the intersection of Georgia 101 and Isbell Road.  Police say that they found a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine at the time of the traffic stop and it was at that point that London fled from police on foot.

During the chase, police say that London discarded several bags of methamphetamine in a brush pile.  The suspected drugs were later discovered by a K9 officer, according to police reports.

London was taken into custody after a brief chase.  He has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, tampering with evidence and felony obstruction.  He was being held in the Floyd County Jail.
