Steve “Roundman” Dyer, a longtime law enforcement officer in Chattooga County passed away on Monday.

He was a retired police officer with 39 years of service. He worked for the Trion Police Department, Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department, Walker County Sheriff’s Department, Summerville Police Department, and LaFayette Police Department; as well as 20 years with Chattooga County EMS.

Steve was an Emeritus member of Grand Lodge of Georgia, Trion Masonic Lodge #160, F & AM, Royal Arch Mason #026, the Chattooga County Shrine Club, and Yarabb Shrine Temple.

Mr. Dyer’s funeral arrangements are with Earl Rainwater Funeral Home.
