Chattooga County voters turned out in force on Monday for the first day of early voting.

Sheena Weaver, the Chattooga County Registrar, told WZQZ news at the close of day on Monday, 394 Chattooga County voters had cast their ballots in the 2020 General Election.

Voters can vote early at the Chattooga County Registrars Office, located on Commerce Street in Summerville just south of the Chattooga County Courthouse in the old McGinniss Drug Building, from 8:30 AM – 5 PM on Mondays through Fridays until October 30th.

They will also have the opportunity to vote on Saturday, October 24th from 9 AM until 4 PM at the Registrars Office.

Voters will be casting their ballots for national and statewide races as well as two important Chattooga County posts.  They will choose between Blake Elsberry (R) and Jimmy Holbrook (D) for Chattooga County Commissioner and Gary Woods (R) and Holley Strawn-Gilliland (I) for Probate Judge.
