The Chattooga County Library is looking for a Library Assistant to work in the Children’s Department at the Summerville Branch.  It is a part-time position, 29 hours per week.  The assistant would conduct children and youth programs for the library and assist with public service activities.  You can see more details below:

* Plans, directs, and conducts children’s and youth programs for the library system including outreach and branch services;
* Acts as an advocate for children in library/community relations;
* Presents annual goals and objectives for children’s and youth programs;
* Presents quarterly progress reports to the Branch Manager on accomplishments and program goals and objectives;
* Promotes utilization and support of the children’s and youth programs including publicity;
* Keeps the Branch Manager informed on current library trends in children’s and youth services; and
* Assists with public service activities
