Chattooga Young Farmers attended the North Region Caucus on Thursday evening in Dawsonville, Georgia.  The North Region award winners were announced at the caucus.  The Chattooga County Young Farmers chapter was named the North Region winner for Outstanding Chapter. 

Also, Garret Hurley with the Chattooga County Young Farmers was named winner for Young Ag Producer for the North Region.  Chattooga County Young Farmer member Stan Reynolds was third for Outstanding Member.

The Georgia Young Farmer program is the adult education component of Georgia’s Agricultural Education program. County Young Farmer Programs conduct educational seminars on everything from agricultural technology to legislative issues affecting agriculture.  There are 55 chapters throughout the state.
