The Northwest Georgia Department of Public Health announced on Wednesday that they will be discontinuing Saturday COVID-19 testing in the Chattooga / Floyd County Region.

Reduced demand for the Saturday testing was cited as the reason for the change by the Department of Public Health.

You can still get tested Monday-Friday in the Chattooga / Floyd Region.  In Chattooga County you can get a COVID-19 test on Tuesdays from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM at North Summerville Baptist Church on Maplewood Drive.  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, you will need to go to the Rome Fair Grounds on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard for testing.

The Northwest Georgia Department of Public Health also reminds the public that there will be no COVID-19 testing on Thanksgiving Day or the Friday after Thanksgiving.
