North Georgia EMC says that they have recently received word about a scam where someone claims to be a North Georgia EMC employee and asks to come inside people’s homes to “check out” their utilities.

North Georgia EMC reminds their members that their crew leaders, line worker and other employees will never ask to come inside your home.

If you have someone claiming to be from North Georgia EMC asking to come inside your house, you should refuse them entry and report the incident to law enforcement.
