
The LaFayette High Football program has decided to cancel the scheduled game at Rockmart, that was scheduled for this evening. Multiple LHS players are unable to participate due to COVID restrictions. The game will not be rescheduled.
The High School issued a statement that the decision was difficult to make, but is in the best interest of all LHS students and the opposing football players.
Across the Walker County School system, there are at least 500 students in quarantine, following two “super-spreader” Halloween parties.
LaFayette High School was hit hard, with 22 students testing positive for COVID-19… and over 250 in quarantine. A number of teachers from the High School are also quarantined this week. The school is on a hybrid schedule, to reduce the number of students attending in-person each day.
