A Menlo man was arrested on drug charges in LaFayette earlier this week after a traffic stop.

LaFayette Police say that thirty-seven-year-old Matthew Lee Plott of Menlo was driving through LaFayette in a Honda passenger car on Monday morning when an officer noticed the car cross over the center line several times.

After stopping the vehicle, the officer reported that he smelled marijuana.  After a consent to search the vehicle, the officer reportedly found methamphetamine inside the car.

Plott was charged with possession of methamphetamine and failure to maintain a single lane.
