The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a serious accident that happened on Wednesday evening just inside Chattooga County, near the Walker County line.

The accident involved two vehicles and resulted in serious injuries with entrapment, according to reports.  The Georgia State Patrol says that one of the drivers in the accident had life-threatening injuries.

The accident, near Highway 151, resulted in both lanes of traffic being shut down for a period of time.

The accident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
