A Rome man wound up in jail this week after he was arrested on Monday at McDonald’s on Shorter Avenue.
Police say that thirty-year-old John Michael Ready came into the restaurant yelling, cursing and making threats to employees. He then said that he had a gun and was going to “shoot everybody.”
The manager of the restaurant said when she approached Ready, he spat at her. An employee of the restaurant called the Rome Police Department on their cell phone.
Ready did not have a gun, according to police.
He was charged with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and simple assault charges.
