To go along with the newest guidelines from the CDC, the Chattooga County School System has also updated their policy regarding quarantining due to the COVID-19 virus.

In an update sent out today, Assistant Superintendent Jeff Martin states that the new guidelines for the school system will match the CDC. Persons exposed to COVID-19 may return to school 10 days after exposure with no test and no symptoms. You can return to school after 7 days with a negative test, if that negative test was collected 48 hours prior to the end of the 7 day period along with no symptoms. In both cases students and staff must continue to wear a mask for the full 14 day original timeline.

These new guidelines will go into effect immediately. The guidelines for those that have tested positive remain the same, they have not changed. The release from Mr. Martin can be found below.
