
Voting isn’t over for Georgia voters, with Georgia having two runoff elections on January 5th.
There are two Senate seats to fill and neither candidate won the majority of votes in the race between Republican David Perdue and Democrat Jon Ossoff.
Republican Kelly Loeffler and Democrat Ralph Warnock also have a runoff to fill the vacated seat of Republican Senator Johnny Isakson.
Voter registration for this election ended on December 7th and early voting begins on December 14th.
So far Chattooga County has sent out 1462 absentee ballots for the January 5th runoff. As of closing on Friday December 4th, only 100 of those ballots have been returned. Ballots must be received by the end of voting on January 5th if you are voting either absentee or by mail.
