Georgia Farm Bureau has announced a new President, Tom McCall.

The President, which is elected every 2 years by members, is part of the board that leads Georgia Farm Bureau which is made up of other elected farmers from across the state.

Tom McCall has been involved in Farm Bureau since 1982, when he and his wife Jane, were Young Farmers and Ranchers Chair. From 1984-1996, McCall served in the Georgia FarmBureau board of directors.

Mr. McCall is a former State Representative having served as a Georgia House of Representatives starting in 1994. He retired at the conclusion of the 2020 session as the Chairman of the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee, cementing his families longstanding tradition of serving the public.

McCall who graduated from Elbert High School, also has an Agricultural Degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) and a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy with a focus in Animal Science from the University of Georgia. While Mr. McCall is gratified by his success inhis farming and political endeavors which have earned him numerous awards and recognitions,his greatest joy is in his family.
