This is the 4th day of the Georgia’s Winter Weather Preparedness week. Today the topic is Winter Weather Driving Tips and Safety.
Some of the weather we routinely see in the winter in Georgia typically includes ice, sub freezing temps, snow, strong winds, and even heavy rain storms. All of these weather situations can result in downed power lines, blocked roadways, and extreme cold.
Georgia residents are encouraged to have a mobile “Ready Kit” that includes emergency blankets, portable cell phone charges, ice scraper, and jumper cables.
