
Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says that the investigation is still ongoing into the stabbing death of a fifteen-year-old male in Lyerly on Wednesday evening.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation. The incident happened at a residence on Williams Street. According to Sheriff Schrader, the victim had multiple wounds and was taken to the hospital by Redmond EMS but succumbed to his injuries.
Twenty-nine-year-old Andy Espinosa was taken into custody in connection with the stabbing incident. He has been charged with one count of murder and one count of aggravated assault, according to Sheriff Schrader.
Sheriff Schrader told WZQZ News on Thursday evening that no more information is being released at this time.
