The Chattooga County Sheriffs Office gave out several awards last week.

The annual Sheriff’s Office awards have been given out with the newest one going to Sheriff Mark Schrader.
The awards, typically given out the Christmas Dinner, are voted on by the employees of the Sheriffs Office.
This year the awards went to
Patrol / Investigations: (3 way tie)
Deputy Nick Robinson (K9)
Deputy Derek Mitchell (OIC- Night shift)
Commander Caine Railey (LMJCDTF)
Jail Division:
Corporal Vada Jackson
Awards of Service:
Shelia Toles (admin) 20 years of service
Sgt. Donnie Stewart 15 years of service
Inv. Chad Spraggins 10 years of service
Sheriff Schrader was awarded the “Capt. Eddie Stroup Service Above Self award”
Per Sheriff Schraders Facebook post, “This year we decided on a new award to be given in honor of Capt. Eddie Stroup who passed away last month.  I could think of many others who are more deserving of this award than I am, but it was truly an honor to receive it. “
