Showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to track across parts of north and central Georgia this afternoon through early this evening. There is a small risk of localized severe weather, mainly localized damaging winds or perhaps a brief tornado. Locally heavy rain may also result in brief flooding of low-lying, urban and poor drainage areas. The severe threat should end west to east across the area by 8 PM this evening.
