Last week Trion Police arrested a resident for false report of a crime and for misusing 911.

Around midnight, Annie Fowler placed a call to 911 to report that her lights were flickering. After determining that she was not in need of 911, it was explained that there was nothing the police could do and that she would need to contact the power company in the morning. Mrs. Fowler then requested EMS services and while initially unable to give a reason, stated she needed her blood pressure checked.

Trion Officers arrived at the Seventh Street address to reports of being in a domestic dispute with a male subject but eventually Mrs. Fowler admitted this was untrue and she had lied. She stated again that her lights were flickering, though this was not observed. She then requested EMS again to have “everything checked”. While waiting for EMS to arrive and give Mrs. Fowler the all clear, she admitted to drinking one cup of wine.

In the end officers placed Annie Fowler under arrest for false report of a crime and for misusing 911. Fowler is known to Officers and EMS for her history of false reports and emergency calls.
