If you have a tag to renew between January 13-18th, you will need to renew early as the Tax Office will be unable to process these transactions during that time.

Per Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton, We will be unable to process any vehicle transactions from January 13-18, 2021.  The state is updating its software and this update will affect all tag offices, kiosks and the eservices website for motor vehicles.  This will be a statewide system outage.  Staff will be available at the Chattooga County Tax Commissioner’s office during this time for property tax payments only.  If your birthday falls during this period, please renew early, as there will be no means for renewals during this time.
