Trion City Schools Athletic Director has been named as Athletic Director of the Year for Region 6A.

Coach Lanham, who has been with the Bulldogs since 2010 was named Trions Athletic Director in 2017. Lanham has held several coaching positions at Trion over the years, including coaching on the High School football as a Varisty Assistant Coach and Special teams coordinator, as well as being the Head Coach for both Baseball and Softball. He has scaled back in recent years to just Head Softball Coach and Athletic Director, which he does to an impressive degree.

This is not the first award for Lanham. Just since beginning his tenure at Trion he has racked up the 2 time-Georgia Dugout Club Single A Softball Coach of the Year, the 2016 Chattanooga Times Free Press Scrappy Moore Overall Coach of the Year Finalist, the 2016 Chattanooga Times Free Press “Best of Preps” Baseball Coach of the Year, the 2015 Region 6A Head Coaches Selection Softball Coach of the Year, the 2015 GACA Region 6A Softball Coach of the Year, along with the  2014 Rome News Tribune Softball Coach of the Year and a multitude of awards for maintaining the field of the year. He also celebrated his 200th softball win in 2019 with the Lady Dogs.
