While all meals at the Chattooga County School system are still free of charge, the option for meal delivery is no longer available for those who utilize the virtual classroom option.
Per School Nutrition Director, Brandi Wooten:
“With the return to a 5-day in-house schedule for Chattooga County Schools, the School Nutrition Department will no longer have the option to provide meal delivery to students who continue to utilize the virtual classroom option. However, we will still provide meal pick-up on Mondays from 12PM-1PM at each school location. Please call the number on the sign when you arrive so we can bring meals out to your vehicle. All students who utilize meal pick-up will be provided 5 days of breakfast and 5 days of lunch. All meals are free of charge because the School Nutrition Department is still operating under the Seamless Summer waiver option, provided by USDA. Also, in-house students will continue to receive free meals through the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year under the Seamless Summer waiver option provided by USDA. If you have any questions, please call Brandie Wooten, Chattooga School Nutrition Director, at 706-859-3054.”
